Birds are everywhere, all the time doing fascinating things. Join community scientists from around the world by participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) from Feb. 14th-17th, 2025. To participate go to www.birdcount.org for instructions on how to identify and record the birds you see.
Come to the library on Monday Feb. 17th @ 2:00-4:00 to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count.
- Take a hike at Oak Park Trail to birdwatch and develop your identification skills for learning which birds you are seeing.
Learn how to make a list of the birds seen to input into the Great Backyard Bird Count with a notebook, and apps like ebird and Merlin to record for scientific research.
Make a birdfeeder to take home.
- Discover the joy of birdwatching!
Registration is not required but preferred.
