Event Details
Dr. Brian R. Rucker returns to examine military and civilian reminiscences of people, North and South, who participated in Civil War activity in the Florida Panhandle. Compiled in his book, Mine Eyes Have Seen, these are eyewitness recollections from those who often left behind accounts that add details not found in the official military records.
Dr. Rucker is a professor of history at Pensacola State College, and he also teaches Florida History at the University of West Florida. He is past president of the Gulf South Historical Association, has served on the Florida National Register Review Board, and has authored and edited over 50 scholarly books and articles related to Florida and Gulf Coast history.
Registration is not required, but please do so if you would like to receive an email reminder for this event.
