Chef Warren Caterson, author of the award-winning cookbooks Table for Two – The Cookbook for Couples and Table for Two - Back for Seconds, and Cooking Outside the Lines – Musings of an Extemporaneous Chef, is bringing his passion for cooking to the Fort Walton Beach Library with an entertaining and energetic presentation that will inspire your inner chef while tickling your taste buds. 

 

Join Chef Warren as he shows you how to prepare quick and healthy NOLA meals using a variety of seafood, poultry and meat with vegetables from the region. He will explain the difference between Cajun and Creole cuisine, the Holy Trinity of Cajun and Creole cooking, the three-pot method, and how to make a roux. He'll also explain how to traditional dishes like gumbo and jambalaya, as well as the secret to cooking perfect rice. 

 

Chef Warren will end his presentation with a cooking demonstration, preparing a healthy entrée that anyone can replicate in his or her own home in less than 15 minutes.
