This month's film is The Inventor. The Inventor is a stop motion animated biographical film about the later years of Leonardo Da Vinci.
Discover a playful toy-like world of invention featuring flying machines, kings, queens and sneaky spies, where nothing seems to go right for the world's greatest inventor, and he is always running out of time. At the center of it all is the audacious and ever questioning Princess Marguerite who is the key to solving Leonardo's quest for the meaning of life.
Focuses on the imagination and inventions of Leonardo da Vinci. Depicts the creativity of the Renaissance period and the circumstances leading into it from the Middle Ages. Introduces the Ideal City concept, tying together science and nature. Historical references that aren't over explained but might motivate curious kids to learn more include the Italian Wars, the Field of Cloth of Gold, and the influence of religion in the monarchy during the era.
