Who Are You Going to Call?

Cellphones are everywhere and it seems like everyone has one. But what happens if a storm knocks out the cellphone network?

Come join us as we all learn together about ham radio from DJ Stewart and a team from the Playground Amateur Radio Club.

Ham radio operators are among the first to stand communication back up after a storm.

We’ll learn about the technology we can use to talk with people all around the world.

 

Come join in the fun this summer as we all learn together about survival skills. Each week we have a different team of experts come and teach us how to stay alive.

Each time you attend one of the programs, you earn a sticker badge and your name is entered into an end of summer drawing for a set of 4 Scholastic True Books: Survival Skills.

These classes are intended for those 7 -12 years of age. Registration is required for all sessions so that we can have enough materials for everyone.
