Event Details

Crestview Public Library is pleased to be hosting another Chess Tournament.  There will be two sections: a Scholastic Tournament and a Rated Tournament.  Registration will begin at 9:00 in the library and end at 9:30.  Round One starts at 9:30; Round Two at 11:00; Round Three at 1:00; and Round Four at 2:30.

Come check out all the fun.  Call your mates, but watch out for Boden and blunders, and advance on over to the library.  Be ready to calculate your moves and avoid capture.

The Scholastic Tournament is for pre-school age and up with no entry fee. The Rated Tournament is for United States Chess Federation members with a $20 entry fee.

Both sections will have four rounds with the time control set at 30 minutes with a 5 second delay.

There will be trophies for Scholastic winners and cash prizes for Rated winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners).
