In a program titled “A Long Walk Home,” Holocaust survivor Rudy Timmerman will speak about his childhood as a detainee of the Nazis following the occupation of the previously neutral Netherlands during World War II. At the end of the war, he and his sister had to walk home from Poland. Once back in Holland, the Red Cross reunited them with their mother, whom Rudy did not remember.
