Program Description

Event Details

During the Second World War, fears that cities and large towns in the UK would be bombed resulted in government evacuation orders, deemed Operation Pied Piper. Hundreds of thousands of children were relocated to rural areas where they would live with families they did not know.

Please join us as in the Niceville Council Chambers* as we welcome author Blanche Beam and Bridget Iannuzzi as they recount their childhoods in WWII Great Britain, including their unique perspectives of Operation Pied Piper.

*The Niceville Council Chambers are located in the Niceville Municipal Complex between the Library and Police Department.
