Take a hike! – Trail safety
Going hiking this summer? Or for a walk in the woods?
Join us as Ranger Bruce from the Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park teaches us about how to prepare for a hike, things to watch out for, like bears and snakes, and how to make the most of our exploration of the natural world.
Come join in the fun this summer as we all learn together about survival skills. Each week we have a different team of experts come and teach us how to stay alive.
Each time you attend one of the programs, you earn a sticker badge and your name is entered into an end of summer drawing for a set of 4 Scholastic True Books: Survival Skills.
These classes are intended for those 7 -12 years of age. Registration is required for all sessions so that we can have enough materials for everyone.
