Celebrating the incredible women who have broken barriers & set records on the famed Bonneville Salt Flats
The Niceville Library is thrilled to welcome a legend in the field of Land Speed Racing to celebrate the incredible women who have broken barriers and set records on the famed Bonneville Salt Flats. Louise Ann Noeth’s auto racing background began in 1977 with a 250 mph jet dragster. In 2000, she united with Team Vesco to recapture the World’s Fastest Wheel-Driven Automobile title at 458 mph with Don Vesco driving “Turbinator.” Now residing in Pensacola, “LandSpeed Louise” strives to inspire the next generation of female racers and engineers. Her award-winning writing and photographic works have been published around the world in several languages. A fancy moniker for what she does is “photojournalist,” but she prefers “storyteller.”
