Preschool Storytime for ages 3 to 5.

Join our Children's Librarian, Miss Sadie, for a morning of song & dance, stories, movements, music, and toys!

Join us each Thursday from 10 am - 2 pm!

• Swap up to four puzzles each week
• Puzzles must be new or like-new and come from a smoke-free environment
• Sign-in is required (look for the clipboard)

Story Time will have songs, stories, and activities to encourage a lifelong love of learning. Older and younger siblings are welcome! Enjoy free play and socialization afterwards! No registration required.

Does navigating Medicare have you all at sea? Do you have trouble understanding your options, coverage, and rights? Kevin Smithers will make sense of it all and guide you to meet your specific needs. 

Teens, ages 11-17, are welcome to join us at our Teen Hang-out! Teen Hang-Out is Monday-Friday on School Days, 1:45-3:00.

T.V. Whitfield is a local author who is excited to speak to people about their debut novella, Decaying Interest. Come say hello!

Every Thursday in December, at 3:00pm-4:00pm, The Library's Anime Club will meet to watch anime. The Anime will be rated from G to PG13 & TV14. There will also be an assortment of manga on hand to read. 

De-stress after school with our monthly art program! Children (ages 7+) are welcome to join us and work on a new art project on the 2nd Thursday of the month. This is a drop-in event and children can come and go when they finish.

Join us for Tag the Art Game for kids ages 7-12.

TAG is a collaborative art game where players take turns painting, drawing, and collaging while they create an original piece of abstract art!

Art supplies are provided.

Learn how to make a charming ribbon tree ornament, perfect for sprucing up your Douglas fir or gifting as a heartfelt handmade present. Supplies will be provided.

Play & Connect is a welcoming program where parents and caregivers can relax and connect with one another while their little ones explore, play, and learn through age-appropriate activities.

On the Second Friday every month, at 11am, Join us for a relaxing hour of Coloring and Coffee at the Valparaiso Library. This is an adult program, for ages 18 years and up. 

Grades 6-12 come hang out with others and play various video and board games!
