Preparing to be Prepared with Annette Lanham
Wednesday, July 19, 9:30 am, Niceville Community Center

Join us to learn the fundamentals of disaster preparedness - for hurricane season and beyond! Annette Lanham of the Washington County Public Library will cover the basics to help you get through most emergencies. Learn how to repurpose items you already have around the house to make your life a bit easier during trying times.

A U.S. Navy veteran with 20 years of service, Annette has lived in 5 countries, sailed across 3 oceans, and visited 14 other countries across 4 continents. Never one to sit idle, she has been a firefighter and EMT, and has received certificates in electrical wiring, basic construction, and cabinetmaking. She has an Associates of Applied Science degree in Fire & Environmental Emergency Response and is the author of Messages From the Sea - a Sailor's Perspective, which chronicles her experiences in the Navy.

This free event is presented by the Niceville Public Library and Friends of the Niceville Library.
