These life skills classes help to prevent future domestic violence by helping youth build skills for healthy relationships. Each life skills session is one hour long and is age-appropriate, fun and engaging, informative, and action-packed!

The goal of these classes is to learn the skills for healthy relationships, build self-respect and confidence, and prevent future abuse.

A six-week course will cover:

Session 1: Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships - discussing the key components of healthy vs. unhealthy relationships

Session 2: Power and Responsibility - defining and discussing power and responsibility in relationships.

Session 3: Bullying - discussing the 3Ws of bullying, different types of bullying, and the effects of bullying.

Session 4: Boundaries - defining boundaries and what to do if boundaries are crossed.

Session 5: Dealing with Anger - recognizing feelings, exploring anger, and identifying calming strategies.

Session 6: Review - reinforce and strengthen information from previous sessions.
