Description

Beginning Monday, September 11, the Okaloosa County Library Cooperative libraries will convert to a new software system (KOHA). This new system will change some of the settings on your Library account.

Passwords

Library card PINs will change to the last 4 digits of your phone number. If you don’t have a phone number on your Library account or want to update your number, please contact your Library by Thursday, September 9.

After September 10, staff will not be able to retrieve your passwords; they can only reset them.

Reading Lists

Patron reading history and saved “My Lists” on your account will not transfer to the new system. To preserve your reading history or lists, you can copy and paste them from your Library account into a blank word document.

Contact your Library for assistance. After Thursday, September 9, this information will no longer be available.

Notification Preferences

Text Message (SMS) notification preferences will not transfer over to KOHA. To continue receiving text notifications, please go to readokaloosa.org and update your account preferences after Monday, September 13. Cell phone carrier information will need to be included in the form. Otherwise, notifications will be sent via email

  • Friday, September 10, the libraries and the online catalog close at 5 p.m.
