The Destin Writers' Group is a fun, informal space for writers of all genres no matter if you're just starting out or have written for years. The only requirement to join is an active email address.

Story Time will have songs and stories to encourage a lifelong love of learning. No registration is required and older siblings are welcome. Enjoy free play and socialization afterwards!

Teens are invited to an afternoon of costumes, games, and fun with other teen fans!

Calling all writers! Writing won't feel solitary with a group of supportive writers meeting at the Fort Walton Beach Library!

Preschool Storytime for ages 3 to 5.

Join our Children's Librarian, Miss Sadie, for a morning of song & dance, stories, movements, music, and toys!

Join us each Thursday from 10 am - 2 pm!

• Swap up to four puzzles each week
• Puzzles must be new or like-new and come from a smoke-free environment
• Sign-in is required (look for the clipboard)

Ages 5-17 (Younger children are welcome to attend class if accompanied by an adult and/or older sibling, however, they are not eligible to win the Lego prizes.

Grades 6-12 come hang out with others and play various video and board games!

Calling all budding chess players!

Youth Chess Club meets every Monday evening 3-4:30 PM.

It is designed to teach all the wonderful new chess players how to play or to play better.   

Attention Chess Players

If you're a beginner or intermediate come and learn to play, or to play better.   

Don't miss your chance to Craft & Chat on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month from 11 am - 1 pm. Bring along your latest creative project to work on as you share ideas, spark inspiration, and connect with fellow crafters.

Everyone is welcome to join us for an afternoon of tabletop, board, and card games with other adults!

The workshop is held as part of the NWFAA’s support for its library telescope program. We will discuss astronomical objects and events visible for the next 30 days as well recent astronomical events and general astronomy subjects. Free to all.

Writers of all genres and experience are welcome.
